Yes, gender selection is possible and completely legal in Cyprus. At EuroCARE IVF we use two methods of gender selection in IVF:
PGS (Preimplantation Genetic Screening) and Sperm Swim Up. PGS is performed after fertilization in order to select the best embryo of the desired sex. Sperm Swim Up is done before fertilization in a procedure that involves centrifugation of the sperm sample and sorting it out into female and male batches.
