We also take into account that age is a major factor when selecting egg donors, with younger donors providing significantly higher pregnancy success rates (59% for 20 to 22 year-olds and 46% for 26 to 28 year-olds), which is why our donors are always between the ages of 20 – 28 years.
Our donors generally give between 10-18 mature eggs per cycle and all eggs collected are exclusively yours—we do not implement egg sharing. All our donors are anonymous donors, too (women who donate eggs with no identifying information shared with recipients) because, according to legislation regarding assisted reproduction, anonymity between the egg donor and the recipient is essential. This is why we’re not permitted to show pictures of egg donors by law. It will also not be possible for your donor to ever contact you or your child or for your child to be able to trace the donor later in life.

As the recipient, you may select an egg donor who is part of our in-house egg donor program (we have a huge egg donor database, so there is no waiting list) or you may select a different type of donor, including:
- Designated Donors: Friends or relatives chosen by the recipient to donate eggs.
- Shared Oocyte Programs: Women undergoing IVF may donate surplus eggs, sharing the IVF costs with the recipient.

When choosing an egg donor through our in-house donor program, you’ll typically be matched based on a number of factors, including your preferences and the donor’s physical characteristics, medical history, and genetic test results.
We’ll help you create a profile with us that includes your physical characteristics, photos, and traits you value in a potential donor. You’ll highlight your preferences for the donor’s physical appearance, such as eye and hair color, height, and weight. You’ll also learn about the donor’s personal health history, their educational background, personal attributes, previous donation history, and their family health history.
We have a diverse selection of donors to choose from, including Asian, Spanish, African-American, Caucasian, and more. Many of our donors are students here at one of the five universities.

- Donor and Recipient Matching: When the recipient arrives at our clinic, they will be asked to sign an IVF with egg donation consent form. Then, potential donors and recipients undergo a thorough screening process to ensure suitability. Once matched, the donation process begins.
- Ovarian Stimulation: The donor receives hormonal injections to stimulate egg development, while the recipient prepares her uterus for embryo transfer.
- Egg Retrieval: Mature eggs are retrieved from the donor in a minor surgical procedure.
- Fertilisation: The retrieved eggs are fertilized in the laboratory with sperm from the recipient’s partner or a donor.
- Embryo Transfer: Takes place 5 days after the egg retrieval and fertilisation. Well-developed embryos are transferred to the recipient’s uterus.

Generally, 8 or 9 days in Cyprus will give you enough time, however, your Patient Coordinator will further discuss this with you.
